Dr. S. Donald Gardner, Dr. Lowell K. Anderson, Dr. Karl E. Lind and Dr. Thomas C. Sorensen are the doctors you will be seeing at Elko Dental Specialists. Dr. Gardner provides orthodontic treatment, Drs. Anderson & Lind are our oral surgeons and Dr. Sorensen is our children’s dental specialist.
Dr. S. Donald Gardner has been creating great smiles for many years in Salt Lake City, Utah. He is now practicing exclusively in Elko, Nevada. Dr. Gardner received his undergraduate education from the University of Utah, and his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Kentucky. He completed a one-year internship at the Veterans’ Administration Hospital in Los Angeles, and a two-year residency at U.C.L.A. receiving his orthodontic certificate.
Dr. Gardner is an active member of many local and national professional organizations, where he has served on various committees and boards. These include the American Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, the Utah Dental Association, the Rocky Mountain Society of Orthodontists, and is past president of the Utah Association of Orthodontists.
Dr. Lowell K. Anderson is a board certified oral surgeon. He completed his undergraduate studies at Brigham Young University, attended dental school at the University of Louisville, and trained at the Mayo School of Medicine in Oral & Maxillofacial surgery. He is a Fellow of the American Society of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, the Utah Dental Association and is a member of the International Society of Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery. He is active in the American Dental Society, Western Society of OMES and the American Society of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery.
Dr. Karl E. Lind has been practicing oral surgery in Salt Lake City, Utah. Dr. Lind lives in Salt Lake City and Ruby Valley where he owns the Thompson Creek Ranch. We are pleased that he is now practicing oral surgery here at Elko Dental Specialists. Dr. Lind attended both the University of Utah and Brigham Young University where he graduated with a BA degree. His dental school education was at the University of California, San Francisco Medical Center School of Dentistry graduating with a DDS degree. Oral Surgery residency included four years of training at San Francisco General Hospital, University of California, University of Utah Medical Center, UCLA, Los Angeles County Hospital and Louisiana State Charity Hospital - New Orleans.
Dr. Lind is a Diplomat of the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Fellow of the American College of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, Fellow in General Anesthesia of the American Dental Society of Anesthesia, Fellow of the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons and a member of the American Dental Association.
Dr. Thomas C. Sorensen received his undergraduate degree from the University of Utah and obtained his dental degree from Northwestern University of Dental School. He continued his education at Northwestern and received his Masters of Science in Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Sorensen trained at the Children’s Memorial Hospital, which is part of the Northwestern University Hospital system. Dr. Sorensen is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the Utah Dental Society. He is also a Diplomat of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
Nickelodeon and GoCityKids named Dr. Sorensen the Dentist of the Year, 2008, for Salt Lake City, Utah. He works vigorously in providing humanitarian dental work in Third World Countries. Most recently he helped establish dental services in Uganda.
